Foreign Supplier Verification Programs Training

Why Choose Us

​​This course will provide participants with the knowledge to
implement the requirements of the “Foreign Supplier Verification
Programs (FSVP) for Importers of Food for Humans and Animal”
regulation of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This
regulation is one of a number of regulations required to implement under the provisions of the 2011 Food Safety Modernization Act
(FSMA), which focuses on safe food practices.

This course is designed for you:

U.S.‐based importers who meet the definition of “importer” in the FSVP rule, which includes those who own or are the consignee of food at the time of entry, or, if no owner or consignee exists, the U.S. agent or representative of the foreign owner.

2. Others who have an interest in ensuring that the requirements of the FSVP rule are met, including brokers, exporters, foreign suppliers of food that will be exported to the U.S., persons/business owners who currently buy food from foreign sources, and representatives of foreign governments.

 

​Virtual Live classes are listed with EDT, EST, PDT, PST, or MST.  This indicates the time zone of the training.

Option 1

In-Person Classroom Setting

Prefer your training face-to-face? Then this is the option for you.  Your training will be provided in a classroom setting by one of our qualified instructors.  You will be provided with a hard copy of the FSPCA Foreign Supplier Verification Program manual and an exercise workbook for the workshops.  This is an approximately 16-hour course taught over two days, both days are scheduled as full days, the second day may be shorter depending upon participation.  Upon successful completion of the training through participation, you will receive by email your Foreign Supplier Verification Program Training Certificate.

Option 2
Virtual Live Zoom

If you would like to take the training in an interactive setting, but do not want to travel away from home and work, then the Virtual Live option will work well for you.  This training mode will give you the opportunity to interact with the instructors and the other attendees while allowing you the luxury of no travel.  You will be emailed a link to the Zoom.us platform where the training will be provided on the scheduled days.  You will be provided with an electronic version of the FSPCA Foreign Supplier Verification Program Training manual and an exercise workbook to print for the workshops.  This is an approximately 16-hour course taught over two days, both days are scheduled as full days, the second day may be shorter depending upon participation.  Upon successful completion of the training through participation, you will receive by email your Foreign Supplier Verification Program Training Certificate.

Option 3
Blended

Once you successfully completed the online portion of this Blended Course (Part One), you are ready to complete the instructor lead training.  After registration and providing proof of completion of Part One, you will be emailed a link to the Zoom.us platform for this one-day, 8-Hour training class.  Upon successful completion of the training through participation, you will receive by email your Foreign Supplier Verification Program Training Certificate.

On-Site

 

Do you have a Food Safety Team and would like them to have training to the Foreign Supplier Verification Program Regulation but need to keep everyone close to the operation.  We can come on-site and provide the PCHF training to your group.  This is an approximately 16-hour course taught over two days, both days are scheduled as full days, the second day may be shorter depending upon participation.  This cost-effective option will provide the entire team with the same message, and, upon successful completion of the training, each attendee will receive by email their Foreign Supplier Verification Program Training Certificate.
